LC Solutions is the sole owner of the information collected on the mylcsolution.com website, a site used by K-12 schools to track progress in competency-based and interdisciplinary learning environments and share this progress with individual students, parents, and teachers in the school. LC Solutions will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

mylcsolution.com data is kept for the time necessary to provide the service requested by the users. At any time, including upon closing of an account, a school district can request that account data, including student progress data be exported and given to the school for their own use. At the school’s request, user and student progress information will be deleted from the mylcsolution.com databases. Please note, however, that information may not be completely removed from history and disaster recovery archives.

Transmission Errors or Unauthorized Acts

Although LC Solutions will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of personally identifiable information, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. LC Solutions will not be liable for disclosures of personally identifiable information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.

Data Sharing as Required by Law

LC Solutions may be required by law to release information regarding our users to law enforcement officials. We reserve the right to disclose personally identifiable information under such circumstances, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process.

Security

As part of the registration process, users are assigned a login name as described below (see "Registration") and an anonymous password. LC Solutions will use the login name and password to identify the user on all subsequent visits to the K-12 Site. It is the user's responsibility to keep his or her password confidential. Student passwords can be accessed by the designated school MyLC account administrator.

LC Solutions takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line. MyLC data is housed in a SSAE 16 Certified facility designed to ensure that IT systems, applications and data are safe and secure. The facility is HIPAA, PCI DSS, SSAE-16 SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 compliant. Your account is protected by your account password and we urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and by logging out of your account after each use. We further protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

MyLC's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Collect Information for K-12 Student Accounts

Personally Identifiable Information

LC Solutions collects personally identifiable information from K-12 StudentTable when mylcsolution.com is being used by the K-12 student through their K-12 school or school district.

MyLC will not read or store information from Google integrations. The only exeption would be instances where a student sends a message to a non-MyLC user (a parent, for example). In this case, MyLC may save the email address to provide a suggested contact for the next time a student uses the same feature.

At no time are messages read or stored, and email addresses are never shared with 3rd parties.

Registration

In order to use mylcsolution.com, student accounts are created by a school’s designated account administrator. Information provided by the account administrator to mylcsolution.com includes First Name, Last Name, Grade in School, and other information chosen by the school authority to identify and track students. Such information might include student identification numbers or student email address. This First and Last name is used to create a username and password used each time the student logs in to mylcsolution.com. When enabled by a school’s account administrator, student passwords can be changed by the student user, but will still be accessable by the designated school MyLC account administrator.

Links to Other Websites

As part of the mylcsolution.com service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. StudentTable and teachers may also save links to such services or their personal documents hosted on these services. LC Solutions is not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the mylcsolution.com site and service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on mylcsolution.com, whether it be provided by LC Solutions or by users that include students and teachers. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.

Teacher and School Access to Information

LC Solutions will supply information on each LC Solutions student (including login name) to the student's teacher and school. The teacher and school will be able to personally identify the student including the student account id. This means that all teachers in the school account will have access to information from MyLC as to each individual K-12 student’s progress in subjects, attendance, and work habits as reported by other teachers.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION for K-12 STUDENT ACCOUNTS

LC Solutions will share the personally identifiable information of K-12 StudentTable using LC Solutions through their school only with (1) the individual K-12 Student, (2) the K-12 Student’s school or school district and (3) the individual K-12 Student’s parent or legal guardian. LC Solutions will not disclose or share such personally identifiable with anyone else unless LC Solutions has first obtained the consent of the school or school district.

Parental Consent

LC Solutions assumes that the school or school district has obtained the consent of the parents or legal guardians of the K-12 StudentTable using mylcsolution.com. By arranging with LC Solutions for K-12 StudentTable to access and use the mylcsolution.com website, schools and school districts are (i) consenting to the provisions of this Privacy Statement, including the use of personally identifiable information by LC Solutions in the manner described above; and (ii) accepting responsibility for obtaining any and all necessary parental consents for LC Solutions to collect and use personally identifiable information as described above.

How We Collect Information for K-12 Teacher Accounts

Personally Identifiable Information

LC Solutions collects personally identifiable information from K-12 StudentTable and Teachers when mylcsolution.com is being used by by students and teachers through their K-12 school or school district subscription.

Registration

In order to use mylcsolution.com, teacher accounts are created by a school’s designated account administrator. Information provided by the account administrator to mylcsoution.com includes First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Phone Number. This information is used to create a username and default password used each time the teacher logs in to mylcsolution.com. Teacher passwords are encrypted on the server using industry standard encryption and cannot be retrieved by the account administrator, however they can be reset to the user's default password. We recommend that administrators strongly encourage users to change their passwords after first login.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION for K-12 TEACHER Accounts

LC Solutions will supply information on each mylcsolution.com student (including login name) to the student's teacher and school. The teacher and school will be able to personally identify the student including the student account id password. This means that the schools' teachers will be able to obtain information from LC Solutions as to each individual K-12 student’s progress in subjects, attendance, and work habits as reported by other teachers. The teacher will also be able to share password with parents and students.

An important feature of mylcsolution.com is the ability to share share information to support interdisciplinary and compentency-based instructon. All teachers within an account will be able to see the data of other teachers within the same account. This data includes instruction module description, student rosters, and marks awarded to learning standards. In addition, teacher created learning sessions can be shared with externally with other schools using the software. Teachers have the option to share each individual learning module created with other schools. When this is chosen, other teacher users of mylcsolution.com will be able to view the module description, creator’s name, and any web resources linked to the session. Teachers can change the external sharing setting at any time.

How We Collect Information for Parent Digest

MyLC asks for parent email addresses to verify their eligibility to access parent views in MyLC. Currently the parent view consists of a digest report.

  1. Verification uses the email address combined with a user code sent to the user or a verification email.
  2. MyLC only displays this information with to school and the student.
  3. MyLC uses cookies to verify that a user has previously accessed the digest report from the same device.
  4. MyLC will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

How We Collect Information from Prospective Customers
